Children's Story Writing

A computer tool to help children write more effective narratives using a range of literary techniques. Children are guided through the process of reflecting about ideas, vocabulary and sentence constructions. In addition they are given assistance with proof reading - identifying and correcting grammar weaknesses. Children are also made aware of the many features which contribute to the creation of successful stories.


Pobble 365

Starting with a weird, wonderful and/or thought-provoking image, children will be inspired to write creatively. Begin with a discussion, answering the questions underneath the image; then improve the ‘sick’ sentences that are given. Try the sentence challenge either as new learning or a bit of revision and to finish with, create a story using the story starter provided.



White Rose Maths

The White Rose Maths Team has prepared a series of five maths lessons for each year group for each week. Every lesson comes with a short video showing you clearly and simply how to help children to complete the activity successfully.

Times Tables Rock Stars

Times Table Rock Stars is a fun and challenging programme designed to help pupils master the times tables. Each child has their own individual username and password.


For pupils to use efficient mental calculation strategies to add and subtract two-digit numbers, so that they can leave counting on their fingers behind! This can be accessed using the child's TT Rock Stars username and password.


This is a maths and spelling practice tool that uses game-based learning to build fluency, mapped to the National Curriculum for KS1 - 3. It is currently free whilst schools are closed.

Children can practise all their tables. The arithmetic problems are clear and simple so they can immediately get started on practicing their tables. Children can select one of the times tables they wish to practise from the list and show what they can do on the speed test, Multiplication Tables Check or worksheets.

Third Space Learning

While schools are closed the free Maths Hub access is available to parents if you register for a free Maths Hub account so you can receive the e mails. All the home learning resources, and home learning packs are available in the home learning section.

French Games is a website for beginners learning French and offers a complete set of French lessons, practice games and French tests for over 100 French topics, both beginner and lower intermediate. Topics include: Pets, Numbers to 10 and Daily routine as well as more challenging subjects like: The environment and Media.

Scratch is a programming language where children can program stories, games, and animation. As children create with Scratch, they learn to think creatively, work collaboratively, and reason systematically.

Drumbit is a web-based drum machine where children can put  together a drum beat choosing from various drum kits, filters and room effects and adjust individual volume and pitch in a track. When the drum pattern is completed it can be saved for later editing or recorded as an audio file.
