Cardwell Primary School

Mutual Respect, Resilience,
Ambition; Compassion and Community

Welcome to Cardwell Primary School

At Cardwell we are committed to the development of the whole child. The highest aspirations of all members of the school community ensure that Cardwell pupils receive the very best in every aspect of their experiences here.

We are extremely proud of Cardwell children and the wide variety of exciting, stimulating and challenging opportunities provided across the curriculum.

We strive to ensure that all members of our school community feel happy, safe and valued while being able to achieve their full potential, socially and academically.

The Cardwell Wheel is our logo and 'Learning for Life' is our motto and captures our belief in the unique quality and ability of every individual. Each segment of the wheel represents a part of our planned actions to remove barriers to learning, build lasting partnerships and raise aspirational achievement as well as keeping the school as a valued and integral part of our local and wider community.

Cardwell Primary School is recognised by Unicef as a Rights Respecting School. The safeguarding and welfare of our children is at the core of our beliefs and all children are aware of their rights and responsibilities.

Our aim is to ensure that the talents and strengths of every child are nurtured, encouraged, developed and celebrated.

The rights are universal and fit our fundamental beliefs in promoting British, Universal values of: democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance for those of different faiths and beliefs.

  • All Cardwell pupils have a right to an outstanding education
  • All Cardwell pupils have a right to be heard
  • All Cardwell pupils have the right to be treated fairly
  • All Cardwell pupils have the right to be healthy

Cardwell learning is ‘Learning for Life’, striving to ensure all pupils take pride in their own strengths and success.

I am proud to be the Executive Headteacher at Cardwell Primary School and of the hard-working and confident pupils, dedicated staff and strong working relationship with parents and carers that the school benefits from.

I hope that the website will provide an insight into the caring, inclusive community that is Cardwell Primary School – we welcome visitors to the school to see for yourself our unique learning environment.

On behalf of all staff, we look forward to welcoming and working with you and your child.
